Handcrafted, thread by thread, over 365 hours under the energising sun of Dakar, with cowrie shell-inspired hand-printed patterns, this piece is the fruit of a beautiful co-creation with the talented textile designer Johanna Bramble. Inspired by the shape and curves of cowrie shells, this inspiration is reflected in the cutout design at the back. The structured blazer, featuring a front scarf, pays homage to our mothers—the women who carry their babies against their bodies to nurture, protect, and become one with them. It's like the story of handwoven fabric spun in anticipation of a baby's arrival. Paired with the cowrie-shaped pants, detailed at the waist with sophisticated openings, it's a statement look crafted by our Senegalese collaborator and sewn by our team in Abidjan. What a journey it has been, all for the beauty of craftsmanship.
